CI HUB is the connector we use to link Asset Bank to a suite of other products including:
- Adobe CC (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
- Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, etc.)
- Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Design tools like Figma and Sketch
- WordPress CMS
V2 of the connector has just been launched and includes the following features that have been added as a result of customer feedback:
1 - Category browsing now supported
If your Asset Bank site is configured to use 'Categories', then these are now visible within CI HUB, allowing you to browse and find what you need.
Categories (if configured) can now be browsed
2 - Custom metadata now supported
You can now see important metadata directly within the CI HUB app, making it easier to use assets with confidence. This will appear on the asset details view in CI HUB.
This is ideal if you want to show:
- Rights information that your designers need to see when deciding which images they can use
- Expiry dates - e.g. for images that have consent forms
- Product data that designers want to copy into the project they are working on
Note, any metadata that is shown in the CI HUB panel can be dragged and dropped into the application you are using, making it easy to transfer data, as well as images, via the connector.
Custom metadata can now be shown
Read our guide on configuring custom metadata for CI HUB.
3 - Extra size renditions
When downloading an image from the connector, you can now choose from more size and format options.
These are:
- Original
- Large PNG (4000 X 4000 pixels)
- Medium PNG (2000 X 2000 pixels)
- Small PNG (500 X 500 pixels)
- Figma max PNG (4096 X 4096 pixels)
- Large JPG (4000 X 4000 pixels)
- Medium JPG (2000 X 2000 pixels)
- Small JPG (500 X 500 pixels)
- Figma max JPG (4096 X 4096 pixels)
- Thumbnail JPG
Note, the Figma is a special size for this tool, which has a max canvas size of 4096 x 4096.
4 - You can now filter results on top level folder
After running a search you can now filter the results based on 'Folder' (the top level folder name) - so that you only see results in a particular part of your folder structure. This is in addition to the existing 'orientation' filter.
In the example below I've run a search and filtered the results to only show Landscape results that are in the Office folder.
