Asset Feedback allows users to submit feedback for an asset. This can be achieved globally or on individually selected assets.
Whenever a user clicks the "Submit feedback" link on the asset details page they will see a preview of the image and a text area. Once submitted, an email containing the user's username, email address, the asset ID and the feedback message is sent to admin users. The content of this message can be customised by editing the "admin alert user feedback" email template in the Admin > Content area.
Global Asset Feedback
You can configure Asset Feedback globally, which will show a 'submit feedback' link on the asset details page.
Select Asset Feedback
You can also limit this feature to only selected assets and allow feedback on an attribute level (NB. to achieve this, feedback needs to be disabled globally).
To do this, create a dropdown attribute in the Admin > Attributes area. In this example, we'll call this attribute "Allow Asset Feedback?".
Edit the list values to add a name 'Yes' and choose "Allow Feedback on Asset" under 'Action when set', then save it. Similarly, add another name 'No' and choose "Do not Allow Feedback on Asset".
If you use Asset Types, make sure that you enable the new attribute for all relevant Asset Types in the Admin > Asset Types area.
Now, whenever an asset is uploaded or edited, the user can choose whether to allow Asset Feedback or not.
