Asset Bank can be configured to show a Terms and Conditions (Ts&Cs) checkbox that users must agree to before they can proceed with certain actions. These actions are:
- Registration
- Login
- Upload
- Download
- Shared Assets
- Published Lightboxes
The Ts&Cs are configured independently so you can choose which are required for you.
Registration
Mandatory for all non-SSO Users that register for access, regardless of whether they require approval or not. If the link is clicked, the Ts&Cs open on a new browser tab.
Login
Mandatory every time a non-SSO user logs in. If a User clicks the 'Remember me' option, then they do not have to accept the Ts&Cs again until the cookie expires and they have to re-enter their username/password. If the link is clicked, the Ts&Cs open on a new browser tab.
Upload
Mandatory before starting any new upload for all Users. If the link is clicked, the Ts&Cs open on a new browser tab.
Download
Must be accepted the first time a User downloads an Asset during a session. The Ts&Cs will not appear again until the User is logged out. The text appears in a scrollable modal, rather than a new tab, before the User can select a Download Option. Different Ts&Cs are set for image, video and file Assets.
For example, a User has to accept the image Ts&Cs before downloading a JPG, but won't have to accept it again if they download a PNG before they log out. But, if they want to download an MP4 they will have to accept the video Ts&Cs.
The above conditions also apply when a user shares an Asset by email or URL.
Shared Assets
Mandatory when someone external downloads an Asset that was shared with them by email or URL. These Ts&Cs are different to those accepted by the User that shared the Asset.
Published Lightboxes
Mandatory before anyone downloads Assets from a published Lightbox.
Updating your Terms and Conditions
The easiest way of editing Ts&Cs, or any Content on the site, is by entering Content Edit mode in the Admin > Content area. But, below is a table of the editable content items for each option:
