The News page allows you to add news articles to Asset Bank which are displayed on the home page and optionally on specific browse category pages. To get to the News page, click on the 'Content' link in the Admin menu, then click on the 'News' tab.
If you don't have any news articles yet, click 'Add news item' to create your first one. This will take you to the Edit News Item page where you can fill out a title, date and the content of your article and select its visibility.
Check this box If you want your article to appear to front end users. Otherwise leave it unchecked.
Show In Categories?
Check this box if you want your article to appear in a side panel when users are browsing specific Asset Bank categories, as well as on the homepage. Once checked a category selector will appear allowing you to define the category pages you wish the article to appear for.
Restrict by Folder?
Check this box if you want your article only to be visible to users with view permission on specific folders. Once checked a folder picker selector will appear allowing you to define the folders the article is visible. If checked a user who does not have view permission on one or more of the folders will not see the article anywhere while using Asset Bank. If left unchecked the article will be visible to all users
Clicking 'Save' takes you back to the News page, where you can see your article has been added:
