If you would like to set up an embedded data mapping, but you're unsure of what data Type and Value it is, the easiest way to find this information is to upload a file to Asset Bank that you know already has this data embedded.

Once you've uploaded this asset, on the asset details page you will find an attribute called Embedded Data.

Clicking 'View embedded data' will allow you to see all of the embedded data in that asset, with it's Embedded Data Type and Value.

Let's do a quick example:

We want the embedded metadata to populate the 'Date Created' attribute. We can see in a recently uploaded asset that this information is held in the embedded metadata of that asset.

So, in Admin > Attributes > Embedded Metadata Mappings we can add a new mapping to use this embedded metadata to populate the 'Date Created' attribute upon upload.
