Asset Bank's Facial Recognition Service allows you to tag the faces of people in your images. Using A.I technology, Asset Bank will identify the same person in other images on the site and apply the tags. This keeps an accurate record of the images stored of an individual across your site.
Using Facial Recognition
Facial Recognition is enabled by default for all Professional/Enterprise customers that are hosted with us. If it is not enabled and you think that it should be, or if you'd like to enquire about your subscription, please contact Customer Support.
If a single asset with a face is uploaded you will see a bounding box around the face when you hover over it. When performing a bulk upload you won't see a preview of the images so you will need to batch edit the assets afterwards to add people tags.
If you see a bounding box where there isn't a face or if you'd like to remove the tag you can do so by clicking the X button in the top right-hand corner of the bounding box.
The first time an image of a person is uploaded the name tag will be empty and you will have the option of identifying it as a new person or choose from a list of previously identified people. The Facial Recognition feature uses machine learning so the more it is used the more accurate it should be.
You can also correct the tag if the tag is incorrect. You have the option to correct the spelling of the tag, which will update this for all images of the person, or you can click 'This is someone else'. This gives you the option to choose from a list of previously identified people or add it as a new person.
Finding and Managing People
Once you have started tagging people, users can use the Filter Bar or Advanced Search form to find all the images tagged with a person.
Admin users can manage their identified and unidentified Facial Recognition tags in the People page.
