Hello Chris! This is Nikki from OneHope. Just wondering are we able to edit filenames once they have been uploaded?
Hi Nikki,
Thanks for the question. Once you've uploaded an asset the "original filename" is held as a permanent identifier back to the asset, so it's not possible to make any updates to this.
Generally, it's better to use a 'Title' attribute that you can update as necessary. If there is a need to have a Title and a manually-updated Filename attribute, that you would need to create a new text attribute called "Filename" that you could edit freely (hiding the 'actual' original filename attribute). It would be possible to copy the information from the "original filename" attribute into the newly created attribute using a metadata export/import.
Hope that helps? If there's something more specific you want to discuss then raise a ticket and one of the team will get back to you.
Thanks,
Chris
