RSS/Rich Site Summary (often dubbed Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format. An RSS document (which is called a "feed", "web feed", or "channel") includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as publishing dates and authorship.

You can now publish your saved searches in Asset Bank to an RSS feed which you can use to promote your assets to anyone with an RSS reader.

How to publish and read an RSS feed from your Asset Bank:

1. Run a search (or advanced search) to define the set of assets you want to use for your RSS feed. (In this example I searched for ‘RSS’ as I had tagged a set of assets with this keyword when I uploaded them)

2. Go to Advanced Search > Saved and Recent Searches and you will see ‘RSS’ under ‘Recent Searches’. Click ‘Save’

3. In the ‘Save Search’ options tick ‘RSS feed’ and click ‘Save’

4. You will then see your search under ‘Saved Searches’

5. Hover your mouse over theimage which appears next to your saved search and right-click, then select ‘Copy Link Location’ – this will save the link to your RSS feed in your clipboard. (You may want to paste it to a text file or Word document for safe keeping at this point)

6. Open your chosen RSS reader and subscribe using the link.
