In order to be able to view video previews on devices that do not support Flash (like iPads and iPhones) Asset Bank now supports the mp4 multimedia format.

The main benefits are:
- Video previews work on devices that do not support Flash
- It halves the time taken to generate previews
- They take up less space on the server

You will need to be on Asset Bank version 3.1372.5 or above to be able to use this functionality.

You will need to change the following ApplicationSettings.properties settings:

embedded-video-preview-format=mp4 
video-preview-format=

After changing the settings the Tomcat service will need to be restarted for them to take effect.

Asset Bank will now generate mp4 preview files for all new video files that are uploaded.
