We aim to get you up and running with Asset Bank as quickly as possible - and a core part of this is getting your system configured and ready for your users. The image and text below walk you through the process of getting the application 'live' for your users.
1. Installation
The first step is to get your individual instance of Asset Bank up and running, ready for you to log on and get started. In the majority of cases this is done using our hosted servers by our infrastructure team, and therefore this can happen very quickly behind the scenes. If the installation is taking place on a remote client server then additional technical work is likely to be required and therefore this step can more time-consuming.
2. Base Configuration / Branding
Once the application is up and running there is a base level of configuration and setup that can be applied, such as your branding (logo, colours, fonts), and sometimes there are options discussed during a trial period that can be implemented as a baseline.
3. Data Migration
As soon as the system is up and running then it is possible to start considering the approach to migrating your data from previous systems or repositories into the Asset Bank system. This data migration work often continues in parallel with the training and consultancy, but sometimes starting the migration as early as possible can help to minimise any technical delay involved with moving data between servers.
The actual 'ingest' process of loading assets into the system is likely to only take place after the Consultancy. Read more about the detailed migration process in our Data & Keyword Migration article.
4. Training
The next stage of the delivery process is for us to arrange your online training sessions so that you can better configure and use your Asset Bank. The training sessions accommodate up to 10 people, which is normally the administration team plus any relevant 'super users'. The first session walks through some of the more basic functionality of the system so everyone is has a good baseline of what Asset Bank can do - this is important as it is often the first time people have seen the software. The second session is more focused on the administrative options available to you, including tips for configuring your system. There is more information about the contents of each session on our training packages page.
5. Consultancy
When configuring a new Asset Bank, there are a few key areas that we normally walk through in order to get a baseline structure for the system. Read more information about the Consultancy Phases.
The aim is to help you arrive at a point where your Asset Bank is customised and configured to meet the needs of your users, the user experience is smooth, and you are comfortable with the different options that have been implemented.
6. Launch
Once the system is configured we can assist with the final 'ingest' of any data that needs to be loaded, along with any final tweaks to the user interface to ensure it is ready for your users.
From here, you can quickly and easily add new users to the system and invite them to get started! Our documentation and customer support team are on hand to assist with any queries that may come in from your trained users.
