Autotagger is an add-on application for Asset Bank that automatically adds tags (keywords) to your images. It can be used on an ongoing basis as part of your upload process or as a one-off service during a data migration exercise, for example to very quickly add keywords to a large set of images.
Autotagger uses the latest advances in machine learning and visual recognition by integrating with online API services such as Google Cloud Vision and Clarifai.
How does it work?
Autotagger uses Asset Bank’s REST API to detect when assets have been added to Asset Bank. It then analyses the new images and, for each, uses Clarifai or Google Cloud Vision to generate a set of tags based on the subjects shown in the image. The tags are added to one of the asset’s attribute fields (for example, “Keywords”) and the asset is saved.
Typically, the auto-suggested keywords appear in the asset a few minutes after it was first added to Asset Bank.
How much does it cost?
Autotagger is priced at £50 per 10,000 assets processed per month.
How can we start using it?
If you are interested in using Autotagger in your Asset Bank then please get in touch.
We will need to know which attribute you want Autotagger to populate with the auto-generated keywords (or we can add a new attribute, for example “Suggested tags”). You will also need to let us know that you are happy for us to turn on your Asset Bank’s REST API (if it isn’t already).
- At present Autotagger is available only to Asset Banks that can be accessed via the Internet.
- Autotagger can work with Clarifai or Google. By default we use Clarifai - you can tell us if you have a preference.
As Autotagger uses third-party visual recognition services, a small thumbnail image of your assets will be passed to Clarifai or Google. Both services assure us that these images will not be shared with any other parties.
